This week’s Meet The Tutors blog series introduces you to one of our Python expert tutors Charles.
Charles, tell us a bit about yourself and what you’re studying.
I’m studying physics at Imperial College London.
What led you to choose this course? And where are you hoping it takes you?
I chose physics because I really enjoy problem solving and I like applying maths to solve real world problems. After my physics degree, I’d like to work in technology.
What’s the best thing about teaching technology to young people?
Often the questions you get asked challenge you to think about things in new and creative ways.
What would you tell your younger self?
Creativity is one of the most important things you can have. It’s much more rewarding to build something new than to reproduce something old.
Who/what inspires you the most?
Any of us has the potential to create a piece of technology that changes the world in a positive way.
What excites you most about the future and technology?
Technologies like machine learning have the potential to make society a much better place.
