As Fire Tech’s flagship course, Video Games Design will turn youngsters’ enthusiasm for gaming into real-world coding skills. This course provides campers with the tools to create their own video games to play on the web or smartphone.
Video Game Design (3 day)
The video games industry is estimated to be worth in excess of $100 billion per year, which is two to three times the value of the film industry. Many young people are excited by the prospect of being able to design and create their own video games, and this course is a good introduction to that skill set.
Our tech-savvy tutors support students every step of the way guiding them from passive game players to game creators and encouraging them to think BIG along the way.
On Day One students are introduced to ideas around game design alongside the basics of the Construct2 software. On day two students get right in and create a platform based game before using the final day to create a game that uses all the skills they’ve learnt.
