Explore wearable tech with Fire Tech and Tech Will Save Us’s latest kit: Sew & Glow. Design your own badge that lights up with LEDs!
Just in time for Halloween and half term, crafting and tech come together with a KAPOW! Tech Will Save Us and Fire Tech are joining forces to offer a hands-on making workshop for all young inventors on the 27th of October at the TWSU offices in East London.
Kids and parents will create light-up badges with LEDs and electrothread. With the newly released Sew & Glow kit, participants can create a spooky badges and “Tech-mojis” – and take their work and their kits home for more fun!
The electro-craft workshop will be followed by a discussion with Fire Tech Founder and CEO, Jill Hodges, who can talk wearable tech and answer any of your questions on how to support your child’s interest in hands-on tech!
When? – Saturday 27th of October from 2pm to 4pm
Where? – Tech Will Save Us, 1-5 Vyner St, London E2 9DG
For whom? – 7 to 11 years old and their parents
Entrance? – £25 per parent/child pair, including a kit, the workshop plus snacks.

No prior experience is required but there are some prerequisites for attending this course:
- Must be between age 7 and 11 at start of course
