Learn how AI is being used in the world right now, from autonomous cars to applications in medicine. We'll explore how these work, as well as the positives and negatives we need to be aware of.
Make a smart home smarter
Using AI and Machine Learning we will look at the ways we can a smart home smarter.
Machines of the Future
We'll look at machines of the future such as robots, nanobots, collective AI units and evolutionary computers. What are the best ways to create AI and Machine Learning without introducing built-in bias.

Lead Teachers have a strong background in education coupled with technical expertise in the area they teach. They are supported by Camp Instructors, who are most frequently talented Computer Science and Engineering students. All our instructors undergo in-person training from the Fire Tech team in the curriculum of the course they are teaching, in the Fire Tech mission and values, and in our Child Safety Policies. We select our instructors on technical expertise but also for great communication skills and a real passion for their subject.
Led by our tech-loving instructors, you’ll create a home of the future using Artificial Intelligence (AI), program an autonomous vehicle to avoid pedestrians and objects on the road, and use IBM Watson to build a series of AI models that can recognize a celebrity Twitter account based on their tweets. The possibilities are endless.
This course does more than teach the fundamentals of AI. It also explores issues of computer bias, ethics and the moral dilemmas programmers face when using AI. This is the ideal course to spark interest in this important and dynamic technological field, and will inspire students to continue their learning journey in AI.
AI is becoming an integral part of our lives, evolving and developing faster than we think. It’s being used in medicine to spot cancer cells, courtrooms to help determine the risk of criminals re-offending, and in the creative fields to create new art from analyzing music from composers like Brahms. PwC estimates AI deployment will add $15.7 trillion to global GDP by 2030. Interested? We thought so!

1 Day a Week:
Course length: 1 day a week for 5 consecutive weeks (total of 20 hrs of live tutoring)
Dates: pick a day between Saturdays or Sundays
Time slots: Choose to start at 10 am or 6 pm (GMT)
Course length: 2h per week for 5 consecutive weeks (total of 10h of live tutoring)
Dates: pick a day between Tuesdays, Thursdays or Saturdays
Time slots: Choose to start at 10 am, 4 pm or 6 pm (GMT)
This course is also available in a week-long format.
