"All the staff were amazing and really helpful. This course really boosted my confidence with computers and video game design. It was really fun and I made a lot of friends I'll be sorry to say goodbye to. Writing the coding was even more fun than playing the games."Christina, Age 10

Junior Adventures in Artificial Intelligence – Week-long
In this course, students will get an introduction to the world of Artificial Intelligence (AI). They will build their very own AI models using sound, numbers, text and images, using the latest super-smart technology!
Artificial Intelligence in the world today
Learn how AI is being used in the world right now, from autonomous cars to applications in medicine. We'll explore how these work, as well as the positives and negatives we need to be aware of.
Learn about Machine Learning
You'll get to build a game using MIT's Scratch software and then teach a computer to play it. We'll discover what it takes to build a machine that can learn.
Think about the Machines of the Future
We'll look at the Machines of the Future such as robots, humanoid androids, nanobots and robot swarms. What are the best ways to use AI and Machine Learning in these, without adding built-in bias?

Lead Teachers have a strong background in education coupled with technical expertise in the area they teach. They are supported by Camp Instructors, who are most frequently talented Computer Science and Engineering students. All our instructors undergo in-person training from the Fire Tech team in the curriculum of the course they are teaching, in the Fire Tech mission and values, and in our Child Safety Policies. We select our instructors on technical expertise but also for great communication skills and a real passion for their subject.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the hottest topic in tech right now and is already having a significant impact on our lives. Want to know how a computer named ‘Deep Blue’ beat a chess grandmaster over twenty years ago? Or how the AI behind AlphaGo beat the best human ‘GO’ player in the world?
Learn how to create complex AI models. Create a celebrity response bot, make and then train a video game to play itself, and even create a friendly alien detector all on this new course!
This is an excellent choice for children interested in technology, coding and AI. Absolutely no previous programming knowledge is required. It is perfect for beginners who are curious to learn more about one of the hottest and dynamic tech topics around!
Students looking for a broader introduction to computer science fundamentals should check out our Junior Coder course while those interested in gaming might also be interested in our Video Game Design course.
This is an online course taught live by an expert who is fully DBS-checked. You will join a small group of other young learners online, working together and making lots of progress in fun and interactive sessions. All classes are monitored and recorded for safety.
This course is also available in part-time formats.
