Course Overview

This fun and entertaining session will demonstrate the power of using MS PowerPoint or Google Slides to create your own funky, quick, unique graphics and animations. Once you’ve grasped the basic principles, the only limitation on what you create is your time and imagination!

Learn how to set up your canvas, and how we can manipulate basic shapes to create graphic art. Arrange objects in layers and see how you can add detail and artistic style. Next we animate our graphics. Treating each slide as a scene,  we explore PowerPoint’s animation effects, how to create predefined and custom paths, add audio/sound effects and export your masterpiece in video format.

Discover how animation has evolved from traditional to digital and the types of animations that exist. We will also cover how to get free resources as an alternative to creating your own images. Lastly we explain some of the editing software you can find that will help make your animations even better.  The session will end with the sharing of tools and resources you can use to continue to improve. Next stop, the Animation Oscars!
